Use GrowthBook if you already run it, have a data warehouse, and want one tool for every experiment. Use PricingFast if you want a Stripe price test without building the revenue pipeline.
- GrowthBook is free to self-host, and its cloud Pro plan is $40 per seat per month.
- Its metrics are SQL queries on your own warehouse. We found no Stripe connector in its docs.
- PricingFast reads revenue from your Stripe checkouts directly.
What GrowthBook is
GrowthBook is an open-source platform for feature flags and A/B tests. It is warehouse-native: you write SQL on top of your own data (fact tables), and GrowthBook turns it into experiment metrics. Its stats engine is Bayesian by default, with a frequentist option, sequential testing and CUPED. You can self-host it for free or use GrowthBook Cloud.
Facts about GrowthBook come from its pricing page and docs, checked October 2026. See the sources at the end. Spotted something out of date? Tell us and we’ll fix it.

When GrowthBook fits better
- You already use GrowthBook and want every experiment in one place.
- You want to self-host and keep all data in your own warehouse.
- You test far more than prices: onboarding, features, copy.
- Stripe data is already in your warehouse and someone on the team writes SQL.
When PricingFast fits better
- You don’t have a data warehouse, or don’t want to sync Stripe into one for a price test.
- You want a price test this week, installed by your coding agent.
- You want a fixed stop rule and a fallback on your checkout without writing them.
Switching from GrowthBook
- 1
Keep GrowthBook for other experiments
The two run side by side. PricingFast only handles the price on your pricing page.
- 2
Remove any price flag
So the two tools don’t both change the price.
- 3
Install PricingFast with your coding agent
Rehearse on localhost, then press Launch.
Questions
Can you A/B test pricing with GrowthBook?
Yes. Create the test price in Stripe, use a GrowthBook feature flag to show it to part of your users and send them to the matching checkout, sync Stripe into your data warehouse, and define a revenue metric in SQL on that data.
Is GrowthBook free?
The open-source version is free to self-host. GrowthBook Cloud is free for up to 3 users on one project; Pro is $40 per seat per month.
Can I use GrowthBook and PricingFast together?
Yes. Keep GrowthBook for product experiments and let PricingFast handle the price test. Just don't change the price with a GrowthBook flag at the same time.
