To test a Stripe price without building anything, use a tool made for it: PricingFast or 1Price. If you already run PostHog, GrowthBook or Statsig, they can do it once you build the price part.
- Stripe’s own A/B testing compares payment methods, not prices.
- Corrily, once a common pick, joined G2 in 2025 and is no longer sold.
- Below about 1,000 pricing page visitors a month, no tool gives you a fast answer.

How we compared them
A price test only helps if it tells you which price earns more, without putting your checkout at risk. So we looked at:
- Revenue: is the winner picked on money from real Stripe checkouts, or on clicks and signups?
- Work: what you have to build before the first visitor sees a test price.
- Safety: what visitors see if the tool is slow, and whether existing subscribers are left alone.
- Stop rule: does the tool say when a result is real, or leave you to guess?
- Price, at the size of a SaaS with a few thousand visitors a month.
The six options
1. PricingFast (ours)
Built only for Stripe price tests. You connect Stripe, your coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) installs the script, you rehearse both prices on localhost, then press Launch. It creates the test price in Stripe, shows it to 10, 25 or 50% of new visitors, and calls a winner on revenue per visitor at 95% confidence and 30 sales. If it doesn’t answer within 1.5 seconds, your page shows its own prices. It doesn’t do geo pricing, packaging tests or mobile apps.
2. 1Price
Also built for Stripe price tests, with a script on your page. It adds localized pricing and done-for-you help from pricing experts, and starts at $39 a month for up to 5,000 visitors.[2] You create the test prices in Stripe yourself. PricingFast vs 1Price.
3. PostHog
A product analytics suite whose experiments run on feature flags.[3] A price test works if you write the price swap and checkout link, and sync Stripe into PostHog’s warehouse to score it on revenue. A good fit if you already use PostHog and have a day or two of engineering time. PricingFast vs PostHog.
4. GrowthBook
Open-source flags and experiments, free to self-host.[4] Metrics are SQL on your own data warehouse, so Stripe data needs to be there first. Strong for teams that already have a warehouse and want to own every piece. PricingFast vs GrowthBook.
5. Statsig
Flags, experiments and analytics in one platform, with a free tier up to 2M events a month.[5] Revenue comes from purchase events you log or from your warehouse. OpenAI announced it was buying Statsig in September 2025. PricingFast vs Statsig.
6. Your own code
Stripe lets one product have several prices, so you can split visitors yourself, send each group to its price, store the group in checkout metadata, and compare revenue per visitor. It’s free in money and costs you the stats, the fallback and the clean-up. Our step-by-step guide covers the method.
No longer available: Corrily
Corrily did price and paywall tests on web and mobile. Its team joined G2 in 2025 and Y Combinator lists it as acquired.[6] Where to run price tests now.
Which one to pick
- You sell on the web through Stripe and want an answer this month: PricingFast or 1Price.
- You want prices per country or hands-on help: 1Price.
- You already run PostHog, GrowthBook or Statsig and have engineering time: use what you have.
- You want full control and the stats don’t scare you: your own code.
- Not sure your traffic is enough? Check with the test duration calculator first.
Questions
Can Stripe A/B test prices on its own?
No. Stripe's built-in A/B testing compares payment methods at checkout, not prices. To test a price you need a tool, or your own code, that shows different prices to different visitors and links each sale back to the price that visitor saw.
What is the cheapest way to A/B test a Stripe price?
Building it yourself or using a free tier of PostHog, GrowthBook or Statsig costs no money but takes engineering time: the price swap, the checkout link and the revenue data are yours to build. PricingFast's first test is free up to 10,000 visitors; 1Price starts at $39 a month.
Which tool measures revenue, not just conversion?
PricingFast measures revenue per visitor from real Stripe checkouts. 1Price reports conversion, MRR and lifetime value. PostHog, GrowthBook and Statsig can measure revenue once you bring Stripe data into them.
What happened to Corrily?
Corrily's team joined G2 in 2025 and its site no longer loads, so it's no longer an option for new price tests.
